The burren

One of the most beautiful parts of Ireland.  The burren is pure rock and has plants growing there that can be found on theother side  of the world and nowhere else on Ireland. There are plants from the Mediterranean and artic that grow next to each other. Common belief is that it was once a glacier.  The word "Burren" comes from the Irish word "BoĆreann" which translates to a rocky place. The last one is of a couple skulls I found in an old monastery while digging around with the O'loughlin kids.

Some work I did/helped with

If you look closely we filled the gaps between the rocks with mortar.

Changed farms

I am now with a family of 6(4 kids ages 5,6,10, and 11). These are the cliffs of moher and some famous megalithic tomb. We went camping this weekend on the ocean, the waves on the rocks were incredible.

Traveling along the southern coast this weekend

Met a Canadian girl who was renting a car for the weekend so I joined up with her and traveled the coast checking out castles, abbeys, and monasteries dating back to 400 b.c( I think)
